We believe that it’s important for all disciples to spend time in God’s Word, and we want to help you do that. To assist you in reading God’s Word, we have gathered a few helpful Bible reading plans for you to consider using this year.
Redemptive Historical Bible Reading Plan
The Redemptive Historical Bible Reading Plan curates the key chapters in the Bible that give readers the big picture of biblical history. Readers will read a selection of chapters that give the overarching framework of the major events and themes of the Bible. The goal after going through this is to emerge with an understanding of how the entire Bible fits together. This plan aims to help you articulate the storyline of the OT and see how Christ completes it in numerous ways.
While this plan does not have you read through the entire Bible, it is helpful for anyone who wants to learn the main message of the Bible. It will also serve as a compliment to a more robust Bible reading plan. You can go at your own pace and pause however often you want to dig deeper and reflect on what you are reading. We recommend this plan for anyone new to reading the Bible.

One-Year Chronological Five-Day Reading Plan
This plan allows you to read the entire Bible in a year while only reading five times a week. Five readings a week gives room to catch up or take a day off to focus on other Bible reading or spiritual disciplines. This makes daily Bible reading practical and do-able. The Old Testament is mostly arranged chronologically for you to keep track of the biblical timeline. You will also read both the OT and the NT chapters daily. We recommend this plan for anyone who wants to go the extra mile.
