Jimmy Hoang

Associate Pastor

I oversee Risen Hope Baptist Church's two-pronged discipleship strategy: 1) intentional community building and 2) providing structured educational opportunities for all ages and stages of life. I am passionate about helping disciples grow in their love for God and one another through studying and applying Scripture and Christian doctrine.

I was born in Port Arthur, Texas and raised by Vietnamese immigrants. After graduating from Texas State University, I moved to Orlando to work at Walt Disney World. In 2012, the Lord radically transformed my life through godly men who discipled me. Around this time, I felt called into vocational ministry after learning about God’s desire to spread his glory through the local church. Prior to joining Risen Hope Baptist Church in 2022, I served on staff at Mosaic Church in Winter Garden, FL as the Director of Christian Education. I completed my seminary training with a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Reformed Theological Seminary, Orlando.

I am married to my best friend, Allison. We have one daughter named Marcy and a son named Quynh. I enjoy keeping up with sports (football, basketball, and tennis) and having deep conversations about life. In my spare time, you can often catch me reading about theology, spending time with my family, and working on endless home projects.
